Lake Thompson ranks as one of the top
recreational lakes in northern Wisconsin. Beneath the
surface of its 411 acres roam excellent pan fish,
walleye, bass, northern pike, and trophy Muskie (DNR
surveys done in Spring 2005 netted a 27-inch walleye and
a 47- inch Muskie, so the big ones are out there!).
Fishing is just a small part of the lakes allure. Every
summer, loons, eagles, ducks, and osprey take up
residence and provide an exceptional atmosphere. Several
public islands wait to be explored and water sports such
as skiing and tubing can be enjoyed near the resort.
